I have always been drawn to consciousness. Not merely as an academic discipline. But as a living mystery.

From my earliest memories, I have been compelled by the great questions of existence: Who am I? What am I? Where do we come from? What is all of this? While other children were content with surface explanations, I was trying to grasp infinity. I would sit and contemplate the universe – not only the stars and galaxies, though they fascinated me deeply – but the architecture of reality itself. I sensed, even then, that reality is far greater than what we can measure, weigh, and see with the naked eye.

One day, when I was a child, my father – an engineer by training – placed three books in front of me with a certain solemnity. The energy felt almost ceremonial. Jung. Freud. Erikson. He then spoke to me about the unconscious mind. In that moment, something magnificent ignited. I understood that if we truly want to understand the universe, we must understand consciousness. Because everything we perceive – every star, every system, every structure – is filtered through the human mind.

That realization shaped my life.

As I was born into our family business, my entrepreneurial spirit was shaped early. My parents founded their engineering company while my mother was pregnant with me, and I grew up among factory floors, international trade fairs, and strategic discussions at the dinner table.

Although I completed my first bachelor's degree in International Business in 1992, I knew I had to follow the deeper fire within me. I went on to study psychology, earning yet another bachelor's degree and then my master's degree from the University of Copenhagen.

Choosing psychology remains the single best decision of my life. It has allowed me to dedicate myself fully to what I care about most: exploring consciousness, the development of human beings and the evolution of organizations. And I have done so with immense passion and dedication ever since.

But when I turned thirty in 2000, something even deeper shifted in me that could no longer be dismissed.

Until 2000, as an academic and psychologist in training, I had regarded spirituality as a form of superstition – perhaps even as a psychological defense against life's apparent lack of inherent meaning. My orientation was analytical, evidence-based, and grounded in intellectual rigor.

And yet, my own experiences began to challenge that framework. What I used to think of as anomalies – moments of expanded perception, states of profound clarity, instant knowledge or an unmistakable sense of interconnectedness – gradually became impossible to explain away. They did not feel like fantasy or escape. They felt more real than my skepticism.

I chose to explore rather than dismiss. I traveled extensively and immersed myself in meditation programs and retreats across the world – in Hawaii, Nepal, Egypt, Tibet, Peru, and the United States.

What emerged over time was not a rejection of psychology, but an expansion of it. The analytical and the mystical no longer stood in opposition. They fused. My work as a business psychologist and my calling to elevate consciousness became inseparable. Music, meditation, leadership, and psychology began to move through the same channel.

Under my artist name, Lorelei, I am a ceremonialist, musician, and master of alchemy crystal singing bowls – working with more than 65 extraordinary bowls crafted by Crystal Tones in the United States. Through concerts and sound baths in Copenhagen and Los Angeles, I explore consciousness through frequency and vibration.

I have written five books, recorded more than twenty albums of sacred music and guided meditations, and contributed to hundreds of media interviews as a psychological expert. What I offer today is the integration of all these worlds: sharp psychological insight, strategic business acumen, and artistic expression. Because I believe leadership – as life itself – begins in consciousness. And when consciousness expands, reality follows.

Today, that integration forms the foundation of my work. I see layers of awareness – and I work across them.

In my executive coaching, I am known for precision and intensity. When leaders sit across from me – often in the high-ceilinged historic hall where I receive clients when in Copenhagen – I listen for their unique personal and professional DNA.
